Starting March 1, 2026 (Sunday), the "Setouchi Harbor Restaurant" at Kobe Suma Sea World Hotel (Suma Ward, Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture) will roll out new spring menus using seasonal ingredients from Hyogo Prefecture.

The Setouchi Harbor Restaurant is a local-produce buffet restaurant offering seasonal ingredients from across Hyogo's five regions — from fresh seafood caught in the Seto Inland Sea to vegetables sourced directly from local farms. The restaurant has a seating capacity of 200. Guests dining there are also permitted to re-enter the aquarium during their visit.

Lunch Buffet: Spring Menu

Spring highlights on the buffet lineup include:

  • Tajima Chicken Grill with Butterbur and Spring Cabbage Aglio e Olio: Fragrant grilled Tajima chicken served alongside butterbur and spring cabbage, finished with a dried tomato sauce and egg yolk sauce
  • Steamed Sea Bream and Bamboo Shoots with Fresh Wakame: The rich umami of sea bream meets the crisp texture of bamboo shoots and the aroma of fresh wakame seaweed in a harmonious dish

During cafe time, two new aquarium-themed desserts will make their debut:

  • Garden Eel and Spotted Garden Eel Cookie Mille-Feuille (¥1,500): Crispy mille-feuille pastry with garden eel and spotted garden eel-shaped cookies peeking out from the layers

Spring Setouchi Afternoon Tea

The "Setouchi Afternoon Tea" is also getting a spring refresh, with aquarium characters featuring throughout the menu. Aquarium visitors can use the restaurant as a mid-visit break and re-enter the aquarium afterward.
