Le Pan Kobe Kitano, a sweets and bakery brand operated by Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland, has joined forces with Caffarel — a historic Italian chocolate brand from Turin whose Japanese importer, Yamamoto Shoten, is also based in Kobe — to create a special collaboration sweet. The result is a brioche sandwich filled with Caffarel gianduja chocolate gelato that is both indulgent and refreshing.
The products are being sold exclusively at Caffarel's booth during the Italy Fair 2026 (Part 2) at Nihombashi Mitsukoshi Main Store. This marks Caffarel's first-ever participation in the event. Founded in Turin in 1826 and celebrating its 200th anniversary in 2026, Caffarel is widely credited with inventing gianduja chocolate — a blend of hazelnut paste and cacao — which has since become beloved worldwide.
