Raspberry-flavored liqueur based on vodka and sake

Like Drinking Aroma

The moment you open the bottle, a sweet and sour, gorgeous raspberry aroma like freshly picked berries gently rises.

When you take a sip, the crisp acidity of raspberry stimulates the tip of your tongue, followed by a deep astringency that spreads throughout your mouth. Like a red wine, the layered depth of flavor weaves a complex taste profile. The astringency is never too strong—it's refined, highlighting a dignified character.

Even after it passes down your throat, the raspberry aftertaste pleasantly lingers. The acidity and astringency intertwine, creating a deep richness in the finish while mysteriously enveloping your mouth with a refreshing sensation. With each glass bringing new discoveries, this is a drink you'll want to savor again and again.

Four Key Points of Lilight

Four points illustration

Point 1. Why "Low Alcohol"?

Focusing on the fact that approximately 40 to 45% of Japanese people are genetically sensitive to alcohol (*2), and the recently spreading "sober curious" lifestyle, they created a low-alcohol product. This makes it easier for everyone—whether they want to drink, can't drink, or choose not to drink—to enjoy sake casually in various settings.

Why vodka and sake

Point 2. Why "Vodka x Sake"?

In response to the recent decline in domestic sake consumption (*1), they wanted to dispel negative images such as "a gentleman's drink" or "too strong and difficult to drink," making sake more approachable.

This led to the innovative idea of a liqueur based on vodka and sake.

By combining vodka, one of the world's four major spirits, with sake, vodka's clear taste gently mellows the sake flavor, achieving a refined and easy-to-drink taste.

Female perspective

Point 3. Female Perspective

The goal was to create an attractive product that younger generations and women who haven't had much exposure to sake could easily pick up.

First, to create a bold package design unlike traditional sake that would catch young people's eyes and make women want to pick it up, the representative's wife led the project.

The logo design, label design, photography, flyer creation, and video production were all handled by women.

Quality ingredients

Point 4. Carefully Selected Ingredients and Uncompromising Production Methods

They use pure underground water that slowly flows from the snowmelt of Koshikitani Town, Fukui City, where the brewery is located, as brewing water. Rather than mass production, they pursue delicate and deep flavors by adhering to "small-batch brewing," where skilled craftsmen carefully take time to brew. Additionally, by using domestic vodka and sake made from domestic rice, they've achieved a quality you can enjoy with confidence.

About Us

"Make sake more free, more familiar."

Under this concept, a husband and wife from different industries established the company in February 2024.

The representative comes from a sake brewery family dating back to the early Meiji period, and his wife obtained a sake sommelier license upon marriage.

Fascinated by the depth of sake, they were concerned about the current trend of young people moving away from sake.

With a strong desire to "create products that make sake feel more familiar with our own hands," they developed the first low-alcohol liqueur "Lilight."
