On May 22, 2026 — the 14th anniversary of TOKYO SKYTREE — a new café called LOOK UP CAFE TOKYO SKYTREE is set to open on the 5th floor of TOKYO SKYTREE. The name captures the experience at the heart of the café: a place where visitors can look straight up at TOKYO SKYTREE from directly below.
A Special Terrace Above the Main Entrance
The rooftop space above TOKYO SKYTREE's main entrance, previously inaccessible to the public, has been transformed into an open terrace. Underfoot is soft artificial grass spread across approximately 285 m², and above rises the iconic tower itself. Visitors can relax on net benches accommodating up to eight people, take photos in front of a "TOKYO SKYTREE" letter monument (approximately 2.5 m wide × 1.2 m tall), and simply sit on the lawn to gaze upward at the full scale of the tower.
The terrace is accessible to anyone visiting the café — no observatory admission ticket is required. Café menu items can also be brought out onto the terrace.
Café Interior
Inside the café, floor-to-ceiling glass windows reaching approximately 8 m in height fill the space with soft natural light, while the terrace and sky spread beyond the glass. The café seats 24 guests across approximately 85 m².
Terrace Views
The terrace offers a view of TOKYO SKYTREE looking straight up from directly below — a perspective impossible to experience anywhere else. Whether dropping by before heading up to the observatory or unwinding after, the terrace adds a distinct dimension to a visit to TOKYO SKYTREE.

The café's lineup was developed specifically for this opening, with one-hand-friendly items designed for the terrace setting.

Six crepes are freshly made in the café:

The standout item is the Skytree Crepe: whipped cream shaped like clouds and a TOKYO SKYTREE-shaped pastry on top, creating an instantly recognizable silhouette. The tower-shaped pastry is also sold at SKYTREE SHOP, the official TOKYO SKYTREE store.
Note: From May 22 for a limited time, the Chocolate Orange crepe will be sold as "Chocolate Orange -14th Anniversary Limited-", decorated with a monaka wafer featuring a 14th anniversary design of the official character Sorakara-chan.

Opening Celebration: Character Greeting
To mark the café's opening, TOKYO SKYTREE's official characters — Sorakara-chan, Sukobburu, and Teppenpan — will appear near the café on the following dates:

14th Anniversary Limited Crepe
To celebrate TOKYO SKYTREE's 14th anniversary, a special version of the Chocolate Orange crepe is available from May 22 until supplies run out (¥1,180). It features a monaka wafer decorated with a 14th anniversary limited design of Sorakara-chan. The crepe itself is filled with a juicy orange confiture and chocolate — a combination worth trying while the limited version is available.
