Experience Japan's earliest cherry blossom viewing in a unique way this February! Looop, an energy company pursuing the vision of an "Energy Free Society," is hosting a free interactive event called "Sakura Saku Power Generation Challenge Park" at Shibuya Sakura Stage on February 22 (Sunday) and 23 (Monday, National Holiday), 2026.
To commemorate the 10th anniversary of their electricity retail service "Looopdenki," the company is offering this special experience to support people facing new challenges such as exams and new life stages. Visitors can make a 4-meter-tall cherry blossom illumination bloom by pedaling bicycles, creating a hopeful light display powered by their own energy.
Bloom the Cherry Blossoms with Your Power: "Sakura Saku Power Generation Challenge"
The main attraction features a massive 4-meter cherry blossom tree that gradually illuminates based on the pedaling power of participants. Teams of three pedal bicycles together, and the illumination progressively brightens in response to their energy. The final spectacular full bloom represents a "light of hope" for those taking their first steps toward new challenges. This recreates the joy Looop experienced when they first brought light to disaster-stricken areas, now delivered as encouragement for those facing exams and new life stages.
Complimentary Bicycle-Powered Mixed Juice: A Taste of Solar Energy
As a reward for the power generation challenge, participants receive a unique mixed juice they create by pedaling. The base is rich, flavorful milk sourced from Nakashibetsu, a dairy town in Hokkaido where Looop operates solar power facilities. This is blended with sweet-and-sour strawberries from Nasu (Tochigi Prefecture), where Looop's accommodation facility is located, and blueberries grown under "solar sharing" panels. This special drink captures the energy of both sun and earth in a single cup, available free of charge with a limit of 150 servings per day.

Staff Members Provide Hands-On Customer Experience
This event was voluntarily planned by Looop employees who wanted to convey the importance of electricity through enjoyable customer experiences. The staff will operate the event themselves, encouraging participants as they pedal, hosting electricity-related quizzes, and engaging with each visitor individually. While directly expressing their gratitude for the 10th anniversary, they aim to create a space where electricity feels closer and warmer to everyone.
