The Machu Picchu VR Experience Launches at Roppongi Hills Observation Deck's "A Walk in the Sky at Tokyo City View"

The CREVIA Machu Picchu Exhibition, currently being held at Mori Arts Center Gallery (52nd floor of Roppongi Hills Mori Tower), will launch "The Machu Picchu VR Experience" on Saturday, January 24, 2026. This new attraction will be part of "A Walk in the Sky at Tokyo City View," taking place on the same floor at the Tokyo City View observation deck.

This attraction allows visitors to virtually experience the ancient Incan Empire's "mysterious sky city of Machu Picchu" using cutting-edge VR technology. A key feature is the immersive experience created by motion seats that move in sync with the visuals. Visitors can enjoy the lives of Machu Picchu's inhabitants, explore the magnificent ruins, and experience a bird's-eye view tour of the sky city with stunning realism. Additionally, special Valentine's campaigns and cafe collaborations will be rolled out to help visitors fully enjoy the CREVIA Machu Picchu Exhibition.

The Machu Picchu VR Experience Begins at Tokyo City View

As part of "A Walk in the Sky at Tokyo City View" at the observation deck on the same floor as the Machu Picchu Exhibition, a new VR experience that takes visitors on an aerial tour of the Machu Picchu ruins has been introduced. Join an approximately 8-minute journey through Machu Picchu's archaeological sites, guided by "Pachacuti," the emperor of the Incan Empire.

About CREVIA Machu Picchu Exhibition

This exhibition debuted in the United States in 2021 and has since toured the world, attracting over 540,000 visitors. As the first exhibition in Asia officially recognized by the Peruvian government, it brings together approximately 130 treasures from Peru. Notably, golden ornaments excavated from royal tombs and ritual objects used in temple ceremonies are being exhibited outside Peru for the first time, allowing visitors to experience up close the wisdom and artistry of ancient Andean civilization.

In addition to these precious cultural artifacts, the exhibition features immersive spatial productions that recreate the World Heritage site of Machu Picchu using proprietary technology, and a grand narrative centered on the adventure tale of "Ai Apaec," a hero from Andean mythology. This invites visitors into a world of unprecedented intellectual adventure.
