Starting March 18, 2026 (Wednesday), Mai-sen (Izutsu Mai-sen Co., Ltd.) will be selling the "Suruga Bay Sakura Shrimp Croquette" on a limited-time basis.
A Seasonal Croquette Bursting with the Aroma of Sakura Shrimp
Mai-sen's popular spring item, the "Suruga Bay Sakura Shrimp Croquette," returns again this year for a limited period. Fresh sakura shrimp from Suruga Bay are boiled in-house and then stir-fried to draw out their savory, nutty aroma. Butter is added to bring out richness and depth, allowing both the sakura shrimp and potato to shine. The result is a spring-only flavor where the fragrant aroma of sakura shrimp harmonizes beautifully with the fluffy texture of potato.

How to Reheat the Croquette
For best results, reheating in an oven toaster is recommended. Place the croquette on aluminum foil, loosely cover with another piece of aluminum foil, and heat for about 6 minutes.
If an oven toaster is not available, a microwave can be used instead. Place the croquette on parchment paper and heat for about 20 seconds.
Heating times are guidelines per croquette.
