Mammut was founded in Switzerland in 1862 as a rope maker and now has more than 160 years of history creating outdoor apparel and gear. Under its brand slogan "Rise with the Mountain – Challenge is life.", the brand supports people who grow through challenges with high-performance products and new concepts.
Its 2026 autumn/winter "DRY DOWN" collection covers a wide range, from high-end models for alpine activities such as high-altitude and winter mountaineering to lifestyle models for city life. Thanks to Mammut's proprietary water-repellent down technology "DRY DOWN," the collection combines warmth, mobility, and water repellency.
Two Lifestyle Models Go On Sale October 8
This season's highlights are two popular models in the lifestyle category that go on sale from October 8: the Roseg 2.0 IN Hooded Jacket and the Floeberg HS Thermo Hooded Coat. Both use Mammut's proprietary "DRY DOWN" technology and pair the comfort needed for city life with the functionality of a mountain brand.
The Roseg 2.0 IN Hooded Jacket suits a wide range of situations, from everyday wear to weekend outdoor activities, with its refined design and light feel. The Floeberg HS Thermo Hooded Coat offers high warmth and weather resistance, making it a good fit for cold urban environments and winter travel.
What Is Mammut's DRY DOWN?
Mammut defines DRY DOWN as down that meets both of the following conditions at the same time.
- It uses 100% high-quality pure goose or duck down with a fill power of 750 or higher. No synthetic fibers are mixed into the down itself.
- The down is given a special water-repellent treatment, or the outer fabric is waterproofed and reinforced with seam tape, so that moisture does not reduce the down's performance.
With these two approaches, the garments keep their high warmth even where snow or rain is present, and they are light and easy to move in, so wearers can stay agile even in the winter mountains.
Mammut offers these functions and benefits across a wide range, including lifestyle models for city life. The urban-oriented products aim to deliver the warmth, lightness, and ease of movement that city life calls for, and to keep delivering them over time, so the benefits of technology born in the winter mountains can be enjoyed in everyday life.
Depending on their intended use, some models in Mammut's down category are not classified in the DRY DOWN collection. All of its down products, however, use 100% pure down with no synthetic fibers mixed in.
