Marine Serre and Under Armour Launch "Where Performance Begins" Collaboration Collection

Under Armour, which has been evolving performance wear for 30 years, is opening a new chapter together with French fashion house Marine Serre.

The limited collaboration collection goes on sale first at the Marine Serre official online store and select Marine Serre boutiques starting June 5 (Friday), as well as at a pop-up event taking place in Paris from June 5 (Friday) through June 7 (Sunday). A global rollout through the Under Armour official website is planned for later this summer.

Where Performance Begins — Shaping Movement Through Fashion

Marine Serre has grown into one of today's most influential maisons by reimagining conventional fashion into something new. Drawing on her own background as a professional tennis player, her designs bring together maison-level craftsmanship and an athlete's intuition — translating movement into fashion through rigor, stillness, and precise lines.

Anchored in a shared philosophy between both brands, Under Armour's base layer became a blank canvas for exploring new expression in this "Under Armour × Marine Serre" collection.

The base layer has long existed as the garment closest to the body, known for its outstanding functional performance. Marine Serre reinterprets it as a vessel holding new possibilities — a symbol of all beginnings. It is the starting point of every movement, from sports to the streets; a symbol of discipline in confronting the body; something that etches the memory of an athlete's performance.

"Sport has always been a part of my life. Performance, precision, and beauty. I wanted to explore with Under Armour the beauty of movement itself. The base layer was our starting point — it sits closest to the body and connects to the real experience of an athlete."

— Marine Serre, Founder and Creative Director, Marine Serre

Where Performance Begins — Performance as the Origin of Everything

The base layer is an indispensable element in telling the story of both brands' origins.

For Under Armour, the base layer is the founding piece that opened the brand's history — honed through a design approach that pursues functionality and durability, combined with decades of accumulated athlete knowledge, earning trust across every sports setting.

For Marine Serre, it is the maison's signature "second skin" — a layer carrying the crescent moon pattern that serves as the creative identity of the house.

These two founding elements come together, merging purposeful functional beauty with elegance, shaped by a deep respect for every form of movement.

The design language of this debut collection has been calculated down to the finest detail and pared back to the absolute essentials.

Under Armour's HeatGear technology is employed throughout. Sharp lines and a strong black-and-white contrast capture the tension and focus of top-level sport. Marine Serre's moon pattern and Under Armour's heartbeat logo are combined and fused into a single symbol embodying the shared values of both brands — discipline and a commitment to evolution.

Ahead of the general global release planned later this year, the collection also includes the "UA Proto Speed II," a reissue model marking the first comeback since the late 2000s. It features a layered textile base, three-dimensional leather panels, and a silicone "Under Armour × Marine Serre" collaboration logo. The shoe honors its nostalgic DNA while being updated to a modern aesthetic.

"In training, as in design. Progress is born from accumulation, discipline, and careful engagement. Starting from the base layer was therefore a natural choice — it is closest to the body, and it is also where the philosophies of both parties intersect most honestly."
