Meiji Kinenkan (2-2-23 Motoakasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo) is now accepting reservations for its Garden Terrace Party Plan, a special banquet plan built around a premium buffet in a terrace venue overlooking the garden.
In a banquet room with an open, garden-facing terrace, the plan lets guests enjoy a premium buffet prepared by separate Japanese and Western cuisine chefs, each working with seasonal ingredients. The traditional Japanese dishes and the colorful Western dishes together make for a menu that guests of a wide range of ages can enjoy, and on request the buffet can also be arranged as Japanese cuisine only or Western cuisine only.

The plan also comes with free-flow drinks, including beer and soft drinks plus a choice of select drinks to suit each guest's taste, along with two hours of exclusive use of the banquet venue, giving organizers a full package they can book with confidence. A free shuttle bus service (some conditions apply) is also available to destinations within Tokyo's 23 wards, and an experienced staff carefully supports guests from the planning stage through the day of the event, tailored to the purpose, number of guests, and requests for each banquet.
Enjoy a refined occasion shaped by Meiji Kinenkan's food, service, and location, set against the backdrop of its atmospheric garden.

About Meiji Kinenkan

Meiji Kinenkan's main building was completed in 1881 as the state banquet hall of the temporary Akasaka Imperial Palace, on the site now occupied by the State Guest House. In 1888, it hosted the Imperial Conferences that deliberated the draft of the Constitution of the Empire of Japan, all of which were attended by Emperor Meiji — a history that has also earned the building the name "Kenpo Kinenkan" (Constitution Memorial Hall).
After the building was relocated to its current site, it continued to host nationally and socially significant events, including the 30th anniversary ceremony of the Constitution's promulgation, the 50th anniversary ceremony of the Imperial Rescript on Education, and general meetings of the Japanese Red Cross Society, the Patriotic Women's Association, and Saiseikai. In 1947, it reopened under the name "Meiji Kinenkan" as a full-service wedding venue, and it has since celebrated the new beginning of more than 230,000 married couples. Today, its many event spaces also host parties and conferences, anniversary and other commemorative occasions, and dining at its restaurant and kaiseki restaurant, in addition to weddings. In 2020, the main building was designated a Tangible Cultural Property by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government in recognition of its historical and architectural value.
