Michinoku Lakeside National Government Park in Kawasaki, Miyagi Prefecture, is showcasing a vibrant Indoor Garden display featuring colorful ice tulips and other seasonal flowers. The flowers, photographed on February 12, 2026, are now at their peak, bringing a welcome burst of color during the winter season when outdoor blooms are scarce. This annual winter exhibition allows visitors to enjoy the feel of early spring before the season actually arrives.

This year's theme is "Blooming Towards Spring." The indoor space has been decorated with the hope that visitors who see the flower scenery will feel an early touch of spring and leave with brighter, happier spirits. The display features 3,600 ice tulips in five varieties—red, white, yellow, pink, and purple—along with delicate flowers such as violas, cyclamen, ornamental cabbage, and primulas that add colorful accents throughout the space. Additionally, there is a photo spot at the entrance (outdoors) where visitors can take pictures with their dogs and other pets. Pet owners are encouraged to make use of this special area.

Depending on the variety, many tulips are still in bud, and blooming is expected to continue progressing. The peak viewing period is anticipated to last until around late February. Although cold days continue, experiencing this early touch of spring warmth can brighten your heart. Visitors are invited to find their favorite flowers and enjoy a relaxing, soothing experience.
