The Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Museum "Funesiru," located in the ATC ITM Building in Osaka's Nanko area, is holding a special Night Museum event in collaboration with Hoshino Resorts' Risonare Osaka. The event is open exclusively to guests staying at Risonare Osaka, offering a private after-hours experience at the maritime museum. Sessions are planned to run four times through July 11.
At the first session held on May 9 (Saturday), participants enjoyed popular museum attractions — including the ship navigation simulator and the large panoramic theater — at their own pace, without the usual time pressure. The navigation simulator, which is normally a paid attraction, was available for unlimited use during the event. Many parent-and-child pairs were seen challenging themselves over and over until they felt fully satisfied.

After exploring exhibits on maritime shipping and the role of ships in everyday life, guests headed to the adjacent port to watch the "Sunflower Murasaki" — Japan's first LNG-fueled ferry — depart up close.

Children also received a special craft activity as a participation gift: designing and creating their own original tote bag using a coloring activity. Each one-of-a-kind bag serves as a perfect memento of the trip.
The Night Museum is scheduled for a total of four sessions through July 11 (Saturday), giving families the chance to enjoy the museum in a completely different atmosphere after dark.
