About HandMade In Japan Fes' (HMJ)
HandMade In Japan Fes' started at Tokyo Big Sight in 2013. It is one of Japan's largest creator festivals, where creators from across the country gather to exhibit and sell their original works. Attendance from Japan and abroad has continued to grow, and the most recent edition, HMJ 2026, recorded the highest turnout since 2020, when the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic spread. Building on this growing attention, HMJ is expanding nationwide for the first time, and Osaka is the first stop.
HMJ Osaka will be lined with the individual shops of 1,700 creators selected through a public call from across Japan*. The event includes a market with fashion items such as accessories and bags, interior goods, kitchenware, art, tableware, and handicrafts, plus hands-on workshops, music stages with notable artists, a comedy live show, and handpicked homemade food. The two days are designed to let visitors experience creativity with all five senses through a wide range of content and experiences available only here.

*Total number of exhibitors across both days. According to the organizer's own survey, this is the largest single-day booth count among craft events held in western Japan in 2026.
Performers on the Music Stage
Day 1
田中裕梨 (Saturday, December 12, 1:00 PM)

With roots in vocal music, 田中裕梨 made her major debut in 2008 as the vocalist of the jazz band BLU-SWING. She has taken part in a dedicated performance for the Ise Jingu's Shikinen Sengu, the grand ceremony held once every 20 years (2013), as well as in artists' recordings and music production for media such as films and commercials, widening her range across genres. The "CITY LIGHTS" series of city pop covers, which began in 2016, has drawn strong support, with its vinyl release selling out immediately, and has attracted attention from listeners in Japan and overseas. Known for a voice that combines delicacy with inner strength, and for live performances that adapt freely from acoustic sets to full-band formats, she continues to win over many listeners. On May 13, 2026, she released "CITY LIGHTS 4th season," the latest in the series.
釜中健伍 (DENIMS) (Saturday, December 12, 2:10 PM)

The guitarist and vocalist of DENIMS, 釜中健伍 will perform solo, singing while accompanying himself (hikigatari).
オカユハツコイ (DENIMS) (Saturday, December 12, 3:20 PM)

A guitarist of DENIMS. As a solo artist under the name オカユハツコイ (Okayu Hatsukoi), he is active mainly at live music venues and standing bars.
Day 2
真舟とわ (Sunday, December 13, 1:00 PM)

Born in Hyogo Prefecture. Raised in surroundings where the sea was close at hand, 真舟とわ still makes music in close touch with nature. A floating, airy singing voice rides on freely playful rhythms to create a distinctive world.
In 2020 she released the two-disc self-produced album "UMU," and in 2022 her 1st album "Rururu no Sono Saki" (ルルルのその先) came out on P-VINE RECORDS. She has since appeared at festivals such as Ringo Ongakusai and UNC. She performs at a wide variety of venues across Japan, including live music venues, cafes, record shops, and public bathhouses (sento), and her work ranges from vocals and narration for advertising to songwriting for other artists.
On April 2, 2026, she released her 2nd album "Umi o Daite Nemuru" (海を抱いて眠る).
Iga Nana (Sunday, December 13, 2:10 PM)

A singer-songwriter from Okayama Prefecture with an exceptionally rich and broad musical background. Iga Nana began studying classical piano at age 5 and went on to experience choir, vocal music, brass band, and even hip-hop dance.
Having spent childhood in Belgium and Germany, Iga Nana has a refined melodic sense that doesn't fit within the bounds of Japanese music. Life abroad also brought a strong awareness of "the Yamato spirit and Japanese aesthetics within oneself," which is turned into lyrics as a personal philosophy. Deeply influenced by Fujii Kaze, a senior from the same high school, and by his "power to turn various genres into his own color and reach many people," Iga Nana works with J-POP at the core. On stage, jazzy playing with outstanding keyboard work is woven into the performance, appealing to audiences with both pop catchiness and solid musicianship. In 2026, Iga Nana is seen as the new icon drawing the most attention on the scene.
小橋一輝 (猫は液体) (Sunday, December 13, 3:20 PM)

The vocalist and guitarist of the Kyoto-born guitar rock band 猫は液体. 小橋一輝 sings of feelings born in everyday scenes and in meetings and partings, set to delicate words and sweet melodies.
Active mainly in the Kansai region since the band formed in 2024, the band has widened its range centered on the live music scene, with its 1st EP "Ushirogami o Hikarete" (後ろ髪を引かれて) in March 2026 and its 1st album "Nekowaekitai" in November of the same year.
As a solo artist, 小橋一輝 performs mainly with just an acoustic guitar. The expression leaves more room than the band sound, delivering the words and melodies of the songs in a plainer form.
The Market: Booths Full of Individuality

Booths from 1,700 creators across Japan will line the market, offering original works for sale, from fashion items such as accessories and bags to interior goods, kitchenware, art, tableware, and handicrafts. Many exhibiting creators will accept custom orders on site, and HMJ-exclusive items and new works will also appear.

35 Workshops: Reservations Now Open

The workshops cover 35 types of crafts, including moss terrariums, leather accessories, metal engraving, and mosaic glass. Under the guidance of popular creators, participants can make original works that exist nowhere else, and the workshops are open to everyone from adults to children, so the whole family can take part. The timetable for each workshop has been published, and reservations have opened for some of them.
