Mos Burger's Seasonal Strawberry Shake Returns with Tochigi's "Tochiaka" Variety

Mos Food Services Inc., operator of the Mos Burger chain, will release the limited-edition "Mazeru Shake Strawberry - Tochiaka -" from January 28, 2026 to mid-May at Mos Burger locations nationwide (excluding some stores). Simultaneously, the restaurant will also launch "Double Fluffy Soufflé Pancake ," available for dine-in only from 11:00 AM.

A Tradition of Japanese Strawberry Shakes

As a hamburger chain born in Japan, Mos Burger has consistently created appealing products that showcase local ingredients and regional characteristics. Since launching the "Mazeru Shake" (Mix Shake) series nationwide in 2021, the chain has featured different regional strawberries each year, including "Benihoppe," "Sky Berry," and "Amaou®." This year marks the debut of a shake made with Tochigi Prefecture's "Tochiaka" strawberries.

About Tochiaka Strawberries

"Tochiaka" derives its name from "Tochigi no Ai sareru Kajitsu" (Tochigi's beloved fruit). This variety features low acidity with pronounced sweetness and fragrance, positioned as Tochigi's next-generation variety following "Tochiotome." Due to their high sugar content, the strawberries are coarsely chopped to retain fruit texture, creating a well-balanced sauce where the natural sweetness and aromatic qualities harmonize with a pleasant acidity.

This shake combines Mos Burger's vanilla shake with strawberry sauce made from Tochigi Prefecture's "Tochiaka" strawberries. The sauce features coarsely chopped strawberries with minimal acidity and strong sweetness, preserving fruit texture to deliver the strawberry's natural tartness and aroma. The sweet-and-sour strawberry flavor makes this a perfect spring beverage. Customers can enjoy mixing the strawberry sauce with the vanilla shake. The Medium size can be selected as a set drink for an additional ¥140.

Mos Burger has been offering the "Fluffy Soufflé Pancake " for dine-in since March 2025. This menu item features a fluffy texture and 100% Canadian maple syrup, offering simple yet satisfying flavors perfect for a relaxed café experience at Mos Burger. The new double-layer version caters to customers wanting to enjoy more pancakes during afternoon breaks.

The pancakes feature a moist, fluffy soufflé texture, carefully prepared to maintain their airy consistency. Topped with butter and drizzled with 100% Canadian maple syrup, the subtle saltiness of the butter enhances the sweetness of both the pancakes and syrup. A drink set is available for an additional ¥260. A single pancake is also available for ¥520.
