The hotel's interior draws inspiration from Hokkaido's grand natural landscape, blending Moxy's signature bold, contemporary design with elements of Japanese craftsmanship and pop culture. Under the design concept "Craft of Play," traditional Japanese motifs are reinterpreted through colorful, "kawaii"-style detailing, nostalgic objects, and artwork inspired by Japanese culture and Niseko's surrounding mountains, creating spaces with a playful energy and a strong sense of place. All 310 rooms are designed to be functional and comfortable for today's travelers, with amenities smartly arranged so guests can relax after a day of skiing or exploring Hokkaido.
Moxy Niseko Village is a resort built for year-round activity, from winter sports to summer hiking and cycling, alongside wellness experiences distinct to Hokkaido. Having opened in summer ahead of the winter ski season, the hotel is also well positioned for golf enthusiasts, with two nearby 18-hole courses, including a championship course designed by legendary professional golfer Arnold Palmer.
A Lively Social Space for Connection and Play
Throughout the hotel, Moxy's playful design draws on Japan's vibrant street culture, reinterpreting traditional elements within a modern social setting. Bold visuals, nostalgic motifs, and playful styling are woven throughout to create moments of unexpected discovery and connection among guests.
At the center of the hotel is Moxy Bar, which doubles as the check-in counter and serves as the brand's signature social hub. Guests can unwind with a drink, mingle with fellow travelers, and reflect on their day in Niseko.
The hotel's dining options are designed around Niseko's dynamic lifestyle. Moxy Bar & Café offers breakfast, light bites, and drinks throughout the day, while Moxy Grab & Go provides snacks and drinks for guests on the move throughout the day.
Moxy Gym, open 24 hours, allows guests to keep up their training routine or prepare for a day on the slopes. Outdoors, the hotel also features a foot bath where guests can relax tired feet after enjoying Niseko's powder snow or other outdoor activities.
A Year-Round Adventure Base in Niseko
Moxy Niseko Village was created as a base for enjoying Niseko's rich natural surroundings and activities throughout all four seasons. Beyond its access to world-famous winter sports, the green season brings hiking, cycling, golf, and other outdoor experiences. The hotel sits within Niseko Village at the foot of Niseko Annupuri, close to restaurants, shops, and onsen facilities, with strong access across Hokkaido: about two hours by car from New Chitose Airport, about 10 minutes from JR Niseko Station, and about 20 minutes from JR Kutchan Station.
This opening marks Moxy Hotels' first entry into Japan's international mountain resort market. In December 2026, a new eight-person gondola is scheduled to begin operating, doubling transport capacity and improving access to more than 30 kilometers of ski courses. The restaurants and lifestyle facilities of "Niseko-yo," within walking distance of the hotel, further add to the appeal of the area as one of Asia's leading mountain destinations.
Moxy Niseko Village is the fifth Moxy Hotel in Japan, following properties in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto, and marks the brand's first arrival in Niseko.
