National Nabe Summit & Oden Expo Foodpia Select 2026 Makes Its Kanazawa Debut From November 21

A food festival called "National Nabe Summit & Oden Expo in Kanazawa: Foodpia Select 2026" (全国鍋サミット&おでん博覧会 in 金沢・フードピアセレクション2026) will be held in Kanazawa for the first time. It runs for three days, from Saturday, November 21 to Monday, November 23 (a national holiday), 2026. The event is organized by the NPO JFR (特定非営利活動法人JFR), headquartered in Atsugi, Kanagawa, with the aim of revitalizing local communities and creating more exchange between visitors and residents.

The festival takes place indoors in Building No. 1 of the Ishikawa Industrial Exhibition Hall (石川県産業展示館1号館), under the theme of bringing hope to the damaged areas and people of Noto through the power of food. Around 30 local-gourmet shops billed as "LEGEND" vendors will gather from across Japan, from Hokkaido in the north to Kyushu in the south, offering nabe (hot pot), oden, grilled skewers and more.

The organizers describe the concept as "bringing authentic flavors from all over Japan to Kanazawa, home of the Kaga Hyakumangoku." They hope the event will become a new winter attraction that both local residents and visitors to Kanazawa can enjoy, helping to increase exchange and boost the regional economy.
