Toy maker Agatsuma is bringing Sanrio characters to its "Claytive!" resin clay craft kit series. Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Kuromi figure kits arrive at toy specialty stores, department stores, mass retailer toy sections, discount stores, and online shops nationwide from Monday, July 27, 2026.
A Craft Kit for Building Your Own Sanrio Figure
"Claytive!" lets fans build their own figure of a Sanrio character simply by pressing resin clay into a mold. Details such as the eyes are added afterward using pre-painted parts that fit into guided positions, so even first-timers can recreate each character's look with confidence. The mold itself separates into three pieces, making it easy to release the shaped clay once it is ready.
Once finished, the figure can be displayed on the included base, or personalized further with paint, coloring, and other decorations for a one-of-a-kind result. The resin clay takes two to three days to fully dry, which helps it resist cracking and warping, and the finished figures are compact enough to carry along for fan activities on the go. For an especially clean finish, smoothing away any clay that spills past the edge of the mold with the included spatula is recommended — a small extra step that makes the kit a satisfying craft experience for "kidults," adults who still enjoy embracing their inner child through play.
