Tickets purchased for the originally scheduled Wonderful Christmas and Lantern Night event on December 19th, 20th, and 21st, 2025, remain valid for this event. No need to purchase new tickets if you already have unused tickets from those dates.
A Winter Celebration Under Glowing Lanterns
Sunpu Castle Park in Shizuoka City will host the enchanting "Lantern Night Market and WONDERFUL AFTER HOLIDAY" from January 9th (Friday) to 11th (Sunday), 2026. Organized by nonii Corporation, this three-day winter festival welcomes everyone, including those who choose not to release lanterns.
The event blends the excitement and warmth of winter with a New Year celebration theme centered around snow and the color white. The highlight is a spectacular lantern release finale that illuminates the night sky, offering visitors a special experience unique to the beginning of the year.
Beyond the lantern release, attendees can enjoy approximately 30 market stalls, a traditional mochi-pounding demonstration by local rice farmers, and a cozy bonfire marshmallow roasting experience. The event offers activities for the entire family to enjoy together.
