Yaizu City will host the Sea and Sky Fantasia illumination event, an enchanting light-up display that will transform the city into a sparkling wonderland from November 19 (Wednesday) through January 31.
A lighting ceremony will be held on the opening day, November 19 (Wednesday).
Main Highlights
The event will feature an underwater light tunnel and symbol tree that evoke the brilliance of Yaizu's sea and night sky, as well as swaying lanterns inspired by Lafcadio Hearn's "Kwaidan" tales. The illumination uses marine blue as its primary color, creating a dazzling display that enhances the area's walkability.

This immersive tunnel creates a 360-degree experience of walking through the sea. The symbol tree positioned at the center will change colors according to the season, featuring different hues for Christmas and New Year's.

Lanterns floating in blue decorations that evoke the sky, with their light reflecting on the water's surface. The lanterns feature wishes and thoughts drawn by participants created during workshops at Turn Toqule Children's Museum.
