A magical night-sky experience is set to take place at Gotemba Kogen Tokinosumika (御殿場高原 時之栖) in Shizuoka on Saturday, July 4, 2026. The resort's Night Lantern event invites families and guests to write personal wishes on paper lanterns before releasing them all at once into the summer sky.
Write Your Wishes and Let Them Float
Each participant receives a white lantern upon arrival. Before the launch, everyone writes their own wishes or messages to loved ones on the lantern's surface — a quiet moment that gives people a chance to put feelings into words they might not otherwise express. Purchased lanterns may be taken home as a keepsake after the event.
When the moment arrives to release the lanterns all at once, the venue transforms into a dreamlike scene. Countless glowing lights rise slowly into the night, blending with the stars above. Set against the clear mountain air and natural surroundings at the foot of Mount Fuji, the sight is one that leaves guests speechless no matter how many times they experience it.

- 1 lantern: ¥4,000 (includes admission for up to 4 guests, elementary school age and above)
- Additional companion per person (lantern purchasers): ¥500
- Admission without lantern purchase: ¥1,000 per person
- Preschool children: free admission (not counted in the group total)
Purchased lanterns may be taken home as a keepsake.
The event will be cancelled in the event of rain; ticket refunds will be issued.
