Three new attractions are coming to Fuji Subaru Land, a family-friendly theme park nestled in the natural surroundings near Mount Fuji in Yamanashi Prefecture. Starting June 19, guests can try a heavy machinery remote control experience at シルバンズカフェ (Sylvans Cafe & Shop), followed by a real shooting game event on June 21 and a hot air balloon ride on June 28.
Heavy Machinery RC Space

Starting June 19 (Fri), a "Heavy Machinery RC Space" opens at Sylvans Cafe. Guests can operate authentic remote-controlled excavators and dump trucks in a sandbox while enjoying a drink — searching for "treasures" (decorative stones) buried in the sand along the way.
Up to five RC vehicles are available (four excavators and one dump truck), and a single unit can be shared within a group, making it a good fit for families and friend groups.

The RC units are operated with dedicated controllers featuring buttons and levers similar to a gaming controller — controlling forward/backward movement, rotation, and arm articulation, much like an actual heavy machine. The controls require some practice, so guests can look forward to gradually improving their technique.
How it works:
- Order and pay for the RC + drink set at the shop register
- Receive the RC remote control and a drink voucher
- Redeem the drink voucher at the cafe counter for your choice of beverage (coffee, craft beer, etc.)
- Use the RC space for approximately 1 hour
- Return the remote control to the cafe staff
Details:
- Period: June 19, 2026 (Fri) onward (subject to change)
- Location: Sylvans Cafe & Shop, adjacent to Fuji Subaru Land
- Hours: Walk-in reception from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM (cafe open 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
- Fee: ¥2,000 per hour (shareable within a group)
- Reservations: Not accepted; same-day walk-in only
Note: Drinks must be exchanged by 4:30 PM. Wait times may occur on busy weekends.
Real Shooting Game Event

On June 21 (Sun), a real-life shooting game using infrared guns (B2i) is held in the multi-purpose square inside Fuji Subaru Land. Since the guns fire infrared beams rather than projectiles, injury risk is minimal and hit detection is handled automatically.

Event details:
- Date: June 21, 2026 (Sun)
- Location: Multi-purpose square inside Fuji Subaru Land (vehicles and barricades will be set up on the day)
- Hours: 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (late arrivals welcome)
- Format: Team battles; teams of 5 to 10 players; rotations if many participants

- Free for guests with a free pass
- Without a free pass:
- 18 and older: 2 ride tickets (¥1,000)
- Ages 10–17: 1 ride ticket (¥500)

Age restrictions: Participants must be 10 or older. Children under 10 may join with parental and staff approval. A free target-practice game is available for those who cannot participate in the main event.
Equipment: Infrared guns are provided on loan. Guests may bring their own B2i or MY-gun with 14mm reverse-thread adapter, stored in a case — do not carry guns openly. BB pellets are prohibited.
Attire: Comfortable athletic wear is recommended. Airsoft gear and cosplay are permitted (enter the park in costume if desired), though revealing outfits are not appropriate given the park's family audience. Footwear should be non-slip, such as sneakers or trekking shoes.
Hot Air Balloon Experience

On June 28 (Sun), a tethered hot air balloon ride is held in the Fuji Subaru Land parking lot. The balloon rises to approximately 15 meters, offering a 360-degree panoramic view of Mount Fuji and the surrounding landscape. No park entry ticket is required, and parking is free.
This is the second edition of 2026 following a May event, and is part of a series held regularly since last year.

Event details:
