Kyukamura Nikko Yumoto, a resort hotel located on the shores of Lake Yunoko in Oku-Nikko, will launch a "Beginner Snowshoe Hiking" program starting January 13, 2026 (Tuesday). This experience allows guests to fully immerse themselves in the fluffy powder snow and winter wonderland of Oku-Nikko.

Staff will thoroughly guide participants from how to wear snowshoes to walking techniques, making it safe and accessible even for first-timers and children.

Additionally, a special family plan perfect for children's first snow play experience is available, offering a great opportunity to create unforgettable winter memories unique to Oku-Nikko.

Guest-Exclusive Experience Program: "Beginner Snowshoe Hiking"

This snowshoe experience is exclusively for hotel guests, offering easy enjoyment for beginners on Oku-Nikko's characteristic light and fluffy powder snow. No special skills are required, and after approximately 30 minutes of instruction, participants can freely explore the snow fields.

Period: January 13, 2026 (Tuesday) to every Tuesday and Thursday during snowfall season

  • 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM - Beginner instruction
  • 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM - Free exploration

This accommodation plan is tailored for families making their snow play debut.

Compared to regular plans, it offers ¥2,000 discount per adult on weekdays and ¥500 discount during peak season (adults only). Children receive complimentary sled rental, essential for snow play.
