Barneys Japan Co., Ltd. (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Penny Luo) is holding a pop-up event at BARNEYS NEW YORK GINZA Main Store and BARNEYS NEW YORK FUKUOKA from Saturday, August 1 to Sunday, August 30, 2026, featuring OBLADA, a denim and casualwear brand born in Japan.

Under the concept of "Post Heritage: creating the vintage of the future," OBLADA is a Japan-born brand that updates vintage denim and American casual items into modern pieces. The brand name comes from The Beatles' famous song "Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da."

Its denim pants, created under the philosophy that the most basic items, like jeans, need constant updating to fit today, are the brand's iconic pieces. They have gained popularity for details reflecting a made-in-Japan commitment to design, materials, and sewing, along with a silhouette that flatters the wearer's style.

Alongside this pop-up event, an Instagram Live will be held featuring model Miyako Takayama, known for her active presence on Instagram.
