From Saturday, October 10 to Monday, October 12, 2026, "October STYLE Week," a three-day joint fashion pop-up, will be held on the first floor of WAKASA & CO. KYOTO's Kyoto Shijo store. It is the first joint pop-up for WAKASA & CO. STYLE, a brand run by Wakasa Seikatsu, which is headquartered in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto.
Three brands will take part: the new brand WAKASA&CO. STYLE and two other brands popular in the fashion world. Together they bring Nordic silver jewelry, vintage eyewear, and shark leather goods under one roof.
The Three Participating Brands
WAKASA&CO. STYLE
WAKASA&CO. STYLE is a lifestyle brand that carefully selects items found in Finland and other Nordic countries that stand out in materials, design, and philosophy, and introduces them in Japan.
The brand grew out of Wakasa Seikatsu's long-standing commitment to making products with Nordic bilberries. Through that work, the company came to appreciate the Nordic way of living in harmony with nature and the Nordic approach to making things meant to be used for a long time.
GANÜ
GANÜ handles a wide range of vintage eyeglasses, mainly from the 1960s onward. It holds pop-ups mainly in Osaka and has gained many fans, especially among young people. At this event, it plans to offer nearly 300 vintage eyeglasses.
Atelier Shark
Atelier Shark is a leather brand specializing in shark leather, a rare kind of brand even worldwide, using the skin of blue sharks (yoshikiri-zame) caught in Kesennuma. Its products make use of the beauty of shark leather's natural grain, its high durability, and its soft feel. Each piece is carefully made one at a time by Japanese craftspeople, and the refined products have gained popularity.
A New Kind of Pop-Up
The pop-up is a new genre for Wakasa Seikatsu, quite different from anything Wakasa Seikatsu has done before, and the lineup of brands and products can be found only here.
