The Ogori Tanabata Festa is coming to Aeon Ogori Shopping Center in Ogori City, Fukuoka, on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Organized by the Ogori Tanabata Project Council — with the Ogori City Commerce and Tourism Division serving as secretariat — the event brings together live performances, seasonal goods, and hands-on activities to mark the Tanabata star festival.

Oririn & Hikorin Photo Spot (10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Amanogawa Hiroba)
Ogori City's tourism mascot ambassadors Oririn and Hikorin will be on hand at the Amanogawa Hiroba as a photo spot for visitors.
Clover Quintet Tanabata Concert (1:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Amanogawa Hiroba)
Wood quintet ensemble Clover Quintet performs a live Tanabata concert at the Amanogawa Hiroba.
Street Piano Tanabata Concert (2:30 PM – 4:00 PM, Amanogawa Hiroba)
A Tanabata piano concert using a street piano follows in the afternoon, with young child announcers helping host the proceedings.
Tanabata Goods Sales (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Hikoboshi Hiroba)
Graduates of Ogori City's home business startup support program will sell handmade Tanabata-themed goods throughout the day at the Hikoboshi Hiroba.
Oririn & Hikorin Doll-Making Workshop (10:00 AM – 4:00 PM, next to Costa Court)
The Ogori Tachiarai Area Silver Human Resources Center (woodworking team) will run a hands-on doll-making workshop where participants can craft their own Oririn and Hikorin figures.
Workshop Registration (Deadline: June 30)
Those wishing to take part in the doll-making workshop can apply through Tuesday, June 30. Sessions run in one-hour slots between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM, with a maximum of five participants per slot on a first-come, first-served basis. The participation fee is 500 yen.
