From June 23 to September 23, 2026, Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium (located in Motobu-cho, Kunigami-gun, Okinawa) is hosting "Summer Show 2026 Churaumi Splash Fes" at the Okichan Theater.
This year's Summer Show is themed as "Churaumi Splash Fes," featuring interactive, summer festival-style performances with massive waves of water from the dolphins — designed to involve the entire audience.
During the show's "Splash Time" segment, visitors seated in the front acrylic area experience the full force of dolphins leaping close by, along with drenching splashes. The "Splash Level" rises in response to the crowd's energy, increasing the amount of water as the show progresses.
When the Splash Level reaches its maximum, ゴンちゃん (Gon-chan), a false killer whale weighing over 600 kg, performs a dramatic splash sequence.
Whether it's the powerful splashing of the bottlenose dolphins or the spectacular spray from the false killer whale, this summer-only special experience is one to enjoy with your whole body.
