Ocean Culture Museum and Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium to Host Special Lecture on Sea Turtle Ecology and Culture on August 23

The Ocean Culture Museum at Ocean Expo Park is holding a special marine culture lecture session on Sunday, August 23, bringing together an Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium keeper and other specialists.

This session focuses on the theme "Sea Turtle Ecology in Okinawa and Sea Turtle Culture of the Pacific," with each specialist introducing a range of examples from two angles: ecology and culture.

Questions such as "How many species of sea turtle live in the waters around Okinawa?", "When and on what kind of beaches do they lay their eggs?", and "What kind of culture surrounds sea turtles on the islands of the Pacific?" will be explored in depth through a collaborative session between the specialists.
