"néo7 ALPINE": Built for Mountaineering and Climbing
The "néo7 ALPINE" was developed for use in mountain settings such as mountaineering and climbing. It features an 8cm serrated blade and the innovative OPIFLEX® blade-retention mechanism, which allows smooth one-handed opening and closing to make cutting rope, tape, and similar materials easier. Weighing only about 41g, the knife also packs in a range of functions, including a scraper, bit holder, and whistle — a next-generation outdoor knife built for convenience and safety.

Rather than Opinel's traditional locking mechanism, the néo7 ALPINE uses the OPIFLEX® blade-retention mechanism, which lets the blade open and close smoothly and intuitively.
