The Christmas Market in Osaka, which drew 295,000 visitors in 2025, is coming back to Tenshiba in Tennoji Park. The 2026 edition features 24 shops, including three first-time vendors, along with two workshop booths.
Alongside German-style food, sweets and Christmas goods, the venue adds more illuminations and photo spots. The three giant Christmas trees return as the centerpiece, joined by new attractions such as elephant and polar bear illuminations, a merry-go-round for commemorative photos, and a light tunnel that frames Abeno Harukas in the background. Santa Claus photo sessions, gospel and other music performances round out the program.

Four Highlights of the 2026 Market
1. More Photo Spots

Scene from 2025
In addition to the three giant Christmas trees, new photo spots arrive in 2026. An elephant parent-and-child and a polar bear appear as illuminations, and a merry-go-round lets visitors sit down for commemorative photos. A dreamy "light tunnel" also appears at Tenshiba, offering a Christmas shot with Abeno Harukas in the background.

2. Limited-Edition 2026 Original Mug

The 2026 limited design comes in a chic deep red.
The original mug is one of the market's signature pleasures, and the 2026 version with a design exclusive to the Christmas Market in Osaka is ready. After enjoying a drink such as Glühwein at the venue, visitors can take the mug home as a Christmas keepsake.
Buying a hot drink in the mug takes 100 yen off the drink price.
3. 24 Shops Gather, Including Three First-Time Vendors
All 24 shops, including three that are new this year, gather across Tenshiba and Tenshiba i:na. The lineup covers food, sweets, drinks and Christmas goods typical of a Christmas market, and two workshop booths offer hands-on crafts.

Santa Claus Returns

Santa Claus, a hit with visitors last year, returns in 2026. At the Tenshiba i:na area, a "Santa House" offers commemorative photos with Santa Claus for a fee. Even while Santa is out, visitors can freely take photos inside the Santa House, so everyone can capture a Christmas memory in the festive space.
- Santa Claus appears at irregular times.
- Photos with Santa Claus are paid.
Expanded Music Stage with Special Guest Emiko Suzuki

Scene from 2025
Music performances will be held for seven days from December 19 (Sat) to December 25 (Fri), and also on Saturdays and Sundays in December. With more performance days than last year, gospel and other music will liven up the market under the sparkling illuminations.

Emiko Suzuki
On December 19 (Sat), artist Emiko Suzuki appears as a special guest. Familiar with music since childhood, she won the vocal division of the National Gospel Contest (known as "Gospel Koshien") in her first year of high school. She made her major debut in 2019 and is active in a wide range of fields, including musical theater alongside her work as an artist.
A general-participation choir is also scheduled to take the stage and sing with Emiko Suzuki on the day. Members are expected to be recruited from around late October, and details on how to apply will be announced on the official website and social media.
Performers and stage content are subject to change.
