Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts (Tennoji Ward, Osaka) is currently hosting the 90th anniversary special exhibition "Full Power! Story of Treasures: Episodes of Beauty Traced with Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts," running from April 25 (Sat) to June 21 (Sun), 2026. To mark the occasion, the museum has released exclusive exhibition merchandise and launched LINE stickers featuring the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts Character "Ujin."

Exhibition Merchandise: Netsuke Figures

Three Types of "Netsuke Figures" Based on the Museum's Collection Now Available

― Edo Period Artistry Faithfully Reproduced Using 3D Scanning and 3D Printing Technology ―

Three types of "Netsuke Figures" inspired by items in the museum's collection are now on sale at the Osaka City Museum of Fine Arts Museum Shop. The figures were produced by 3D scanning netsuke in the museum's holdings and printing them from high-precision data using a 3D printer, reproducing the delicate craftsmanship and textures of the originals in a palm-sized format.

The lineup features three popular pieces from the museum's collection: the "Puppy Ceramic Netsuke," "Skull Ivory-Carved Netsuke," and "Daruma Ivory-Carved Netsuke." All three are Edo period craft objects that blend practicality with a sense of playfulness, and the figures bring that same spirit into everyday modern life.
