Panasonic Order System (POS) Introduces New Chromoly Frameset "FRCD07"

Panasonic Cycle Tech is set to open order books in July 2026 for the FRCD07, the latest addition to its "Panasonic Order System (POS)" — a bespoke bicycle program that has been running since 1987, where craftspeople at the company's own workshop build each bike individually to match the rider's physique and preferences.

Chromoly (chromium-molybdenum steel) frames have been a cornerstone of the POS lineup since the program's launch, valued for their slender, elegant silhouette and supple ride quality. The new FRCD07 carries on that aesthetic tradition while incorporating current component standards.

Key Features

The FRCD07 adopts an original "one-point-five head lug" designed exclusively by Panasonic, alongside flat-mount disc brake compatibility and front and rear 12 mm thru-axle dropouts, bringing the frame into full alignment with contemporary groupset options.

For the tubing, the frameset uses Kaisei's chromoly pipe "ULTIMA," produced domestically in Japan. This choice aims to preserve the compliant, smooth-riding character that chromoly is known for, while also delivering the rigidity and stability required of a disc brake road bike.
