Pasco's "Kissaten" Series Adds a Coffee Float-Style Vanilla Bun and Pudding-Style Steamed Cake for a Month-Only Fair

Pasco (Shikishima Baking Co., Ltd.) is adding two new fair items to its "Kissaten" series — the "Kissaten Coffee Float-Style Vanilla" and the "Kissaten Pudding-Style Steamed Cake" — on sale for a limited one-month run starting Saturday, August 1, 2026.

A New Chapter for the "Kissaten" Series

The "Kissaten" series recreates the feel of eating at a traditional Japanese coffee shop at home, known for toast items such as the "Kissaten-Style Ogura Butter Toast" released in March 2023 and the "Kissaten-Style Tamago Toast" released that October — both featuring coffee-shop-inspired toppings on thick-sliced, mountain-shaped bread equivalent to three regular slices, and well received by customers.

This time, the lineup moves beyond toast, with two new sweet bread and steamed cake items inspired by classic coffee shop menu items that couldn't be captured in toast form before — from the jingle of a door bell to a crisply air-conditioned interior and a lineup of nostalgic favorites. The new items join the existing toast lineup for a limited time.

Kissaten Coffee Float-Style Vanilla

Inspired by a coffee shop coffee float, this bun wraps vanilla cream in white bread dough along with a slightly bitter coffee jelly.

Kissaten Pudding-Style Steamed Cake

Inspired by coffee-shop-style pudding, this steamed cake pairs custard dough with caramel sauce, with a golden-brown surface designed to look just like real pudding.
