Gong cha, the tea cafe chain that originated in Taiwan, will begin selling its first area-exclusive product, the "Hokkaido Limited Milk Pudding Milk Tea" (北海道限定 ミルクプリン ミルクティー), at five stores in Hokkaido from Thursday, October 29, 2026. It will be on sale for a limited time. The dessert tea is made with high-quality raw milk from Hokkaido and offers a mellow, rich flavor.
Developed With a Hokkaido Dairy Maker
The drink was jointly developed with 株式会社牧家, a dairy products manufacturer based in Date City, Hokkaido. So that the taste of milk comes through simply, it uses no fruit or sauce. Instead, it is built on the flavors of Alishan oolong tea and Hokkaido raw milk.
A White Dessert Tea With Changing Textures
Alishan oolong tea with a vibrant flavor is layered with the rich taste of Hokkaido raw milk, then topped with jiggly milk pudding, mellow milk foam, and feuilletine (crushed pie dough). This white dessert tea changes in texture with each sip, from jiggly (ぷるん) to creamy (とろっ) to crunchy (ザクッ). Drinkers can enjoy the flavor of the Alishan oolong tea and the richness of the milk together with the luxurious, changing textures of the milk pudding and feuilletine.
As Gong cha's first Hokkaido-exclusive product, it is offered at five stores in Hokkaido. It is intended for people who live in Hokkaido as well as those visiting the region, offering a special cup that can only be found here.
