The PerfectOne all-in-one foundation series — which holds the top position in Japan's foundation market — is getting a summer spin-off. The PerfectOne Glow & Cover Cushion Foundation Cool will go on sale on June 15, 2026 (Monday), from Shin Nihon Seiyaku Co., Ltd. (Fukuoka City). The new product combines a cooling sensation on application with the full-coverage and multi-function performance of the existing bestselling line.
A Cooling Cushion Foundation Born from Summer Skin Concerns
The new product is designed for comfortable wear even during Japan's intense summer heat. In recent years, strong sunlight, sweat, and excess sebum have made summer makeup feel like a burden — leading to the development of this cooling variant of the popular Glow & Cover Cushion Foundation.
Three types of cooling agents — menthol, menthoxypropanediol, and mentone glycerin acetal — are combined to deliver both an immediate sharp cooling sensation and a gentle, lasting freshness. The formulation achieves a -3.1°C cooling effect on contact, making each application and touch-up a refreshing experience.
The foundation also incorporates glacial water from the Alps, processed into liposome form, to deliver moisture to the stratum corneum. Allantoin and dipotassium glycyrrhizinate help condition the skin against dryness from strong summer sunlight.
Product Features
The Cool edition retains the coverage performance of the existing Glow & Cover Cushion Foundation. A "high-adhesion skin cover formula" clings to the skin and covers age-related concerns — such as spots, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone — without a heavy or cakey feel. An SPF50+/PA++++ sun protection rating is included, which is described as the highest level available domestically.
The product functions as 9-in-1: serum, cream, primer, foundation, sunscreen, concealer, highlighter, color corrector, and face powder in a single step. Diamond powder and high-luminosity pearl powder are incorporated to promote a luminous, translucent finish.
