A roastery cafe, "PINE'S COFFEE ROASTER," will open in April 2027 on the first floor of "edit x seven Awaji Island," a new hotel opening in Sumoto on Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture. The cafe is produced by Transit Creative Co., Ltd. and operated by Transit Operation Service Co., Ltd.
Ahead of the opening, details have been revealed on the Hawaiian breakfast served with in-house roasted coffee, a breakfast menu planned with SHOGUN BURGER, and an overview of the cafe. The hotel, edit x seven Awaji Island (developed by Kasumigaseki Capital Co., Ltd.), is also opening reservations through its official booking site and various travel booking sites.
PINE'S COFFEE ROASTER: A Cafe Dining Space by the Sea
PINE'S COFFEE ROASTER is a cafe dining space that combines an open feel with a refined setting, just a 30-second walk from Ohama Beach.
The interior follows the concept of "Local" (enjoying the local climate and culture). Design walls made with Awaji kawara roof tiles, a traditional craft of Awaji Island, are combined with natural materials and copper-colored accents. The layout deepens gradually, like a gradient, from the bright terrace and cafe area to a calmer lounge and music bar, so the terrace, open kitchen, and roaster share continuous sightlines and a sense of space.
The food and drink menu centers on specialty coffee carefully roasted by the roaster installed in the cafe, along with Hawaiian dishes such as garlic shrimp. Development of an original breakfast and burgers with the hamburger specialty shop SHOGUN BURGER is also planned.
Takeout is available for enjoying in a guest room or on the beach right outside, and dinner and bar food to enjoy with drinks are offered in the evening. The cafe is open to hotel guests as well as day-trip visitors and local residents. It is positioned as a "seaside community living room," a place that suits any mood from morning to night, whether for unwinding alone or for sharing a meal and conversation with someone close.

The Hawaiian breakfast is designed for a refreshing resort morning, with the blue sea visible through the pine trees and the breeze from Ohama Beach. It is served with specialty coffee roasted in the cafe.

The plate centers on an omelet made with Awaji onions and mushrooms, served with sausage, bacon, roasted tomato, baked beans, and sweet bread. The omelet is finished with vinegar in a sweet-and-sour agrodolce style. Tomato scented with cumin and coriander, beans with concentrated savory flavor, and gently sweet bread complement one another. A seasonal vegetable salad and soup are served on a separate plate.
Homemade Acai Bowl

A light acai bowl that layers the sweetness and textures of fruit.
A homemade acai mix of acai, blueberries, bananas, and more is topped with granola, classic fruits, and seasonal fruits. Coconut chips and cacao nibs add aroma and texture. Yogurt made with Awaji Island milk, with a texture like Greek yogurt, is served on the side so diners can add as much as they like. *Made without eggs or meat.
Bacon, Egg and Banana Pancakes

Light buttermilk pancakes are topped with grilled bacon, a fried egg, and caramelized banana. The sweetness of the banana and the aroma of maple syrup meet the saltiness of the bacon and the richness of the egg, for a flavor that is not just sweet. A seasonal vegetable salad and soup are served alongside, making the pancakes a satisfying breakfast.
