A new limited-edition beer is coming from Suntory this summer. The PREMIUM MALT'S <JAPANESE ALE> Summer Wind Fragrant Ale will go on sale nationwide in limited quantities starting May 19, 2026 (Tuesday).

The PREMIUM MALT'S <JAPANESE ALE> Fragrant Ale is known for its "fresh aroma and rich flavor," achieved through the brand's carefully selected ingredients, Suntory's own top-fermentation yeast, and the skill of its brewers.
This summer, The PREMIUM MALT'S <JAPANESE ALE> Fragrant Ale is collaborating with Ron Herman*, a California-born fashion and lifestyle brand with the motto "May every day of your life be a good one." Together, the two brands aim to deliver a more fulfilling summer experience, themed around "premium relaxation enveloped in fragrance"—a distinctly summery concept with three limited editions and a campaign.
The first limited edition, "Summer Wind Fragrant Ale," is inspired by the concept of "the start of summer." It's meant to be enjoyed during that time of year when deepening greenery and a pleasant breeze ease the mind.
*A US California-based brand proposing fashion and lifestyle under the slogan "May every day of your life be a good one." In Japan, the brand operates 30 stores, including concept stores (as of the end of February 2026).
Flavor and Packaging
The beer uses Sapphire hops and is brewed with top-fermentation yeast, resulting in a refreshing grapefruit-like aroma and a light, pleasant finish.
The packaging features a gradient of blue and yellow as the background, adorned with an illustration inspired by Ron Herman's stores, which are characterized by their green arches. The design conveys the freshness of early summer.
