Cosmetics developed in Saga Prefecture are heading to Tokyo. From Wednesday, October 21, 2026 to Tuesday, January 19, 2027, products from eight Saga businesses will be on sale for a limited time at Asumise, an experience-based store operated by Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores Co., Ltd. at Daimaru Tokyo.
Saga Prefecture is promoting a "cosmetics initiative" that aims to build up a cosmetics industry centered on beauty and health. As part of this effort, the prefecture offers hands-on support to local companies in beauty and health-related fields, helping them refine their business models and expand and sustain their businesses. The products on sale come from local businesses that refined their business models through this program.
By offering cosmetics made with Saga's abundant regional resources and unique technologies directly to shoppers in the Tokyo metropolitan area, the sale also aims to spread the word about the products and brand value of the participating businesses, open up new sales channels, and promote the cosmetics industry.
