New T-shirts based on the work of illustrator Ryotaro Sato (サトウリョウタロウ), who lives in Niigata Prefecture, have joined the lineup at "pTa.shop" (ピーティーエー・ショップ). The online shop is operated by ICE (株式会社ICE), a company in the Impress Group that runs media businesses including digital-first publishing. Sales of the three-design T-shirt collection started on Friday, September 18, 2026.
A Pop Take on American Casual and Street Culture: Ryotaro Sato's New Collection
Ryotaro Sato is an illustrator based in Niigata Prefecture. He mainly creates illustrations for web media and magazines, illustrations for corporate advertising, and logo designs, and works in a wide range of fields. His credits include serialized illustrations for web media such as 日興フロッギー, and in recent years he has collaborated with the popular apparel brand Golden Bear (ゴールデンベア). He has drawn attention not only in illustration but also in the fashion scene.
The main appeal of his work is a catchy, pop style inspired by American casual fashion and street culture. A retro feel with a touch of nostalgia and playful character designs appeal to people of all ages and genders. Even within simple line drawings, a keen eye for the movement and features of his subjects shows through, and a distinctive sense of humor makes his illustrations approachable yet refined.
For this new collection, three T-shirts with original graphics have been prepared, showing his unique world. Each features characters that blend everyday approachability with a street atmosphere, and they can be worked into daily outfits.

Kakuda), a mountain in Niigata Prefecture, the artist's home base, appear at its feet. The excitement of the outdoors matches the character's cute expression, making it suitable for town wear as well as active occasions.
