Two bars in Tokyo are teaming up with S.C Lab, a Taiwanese tea spirits brand, for two nights of collaboration events this September.
Yaso Co., Ltd., the Japan distributor for S.C Lab, is holding the collaboration events on September 21 and 22, 2026, at two bars in Tokyo. Both of S.C Lab's co-founders are traveling from Taiwan for the occasion, and each bar's bartender has created an original, event-only cocktail using S.C Lab's tea spirits.
S.C Lab is also joining "TENOHA Tateshina Marche," held over the same holiday weekend in Tateshina, Nagano Prefecture, offering tastings and original drinks.
What Is S.C Lab?
From Taiwan's tea fields to Japan
S.C Lab is a Taiwan-based creative lab that builds spirits and beverages around tea. By working with local fruit and herbs and collaborating with tea farmers, the brand has created drinks that go beyond the conventional idea of "tea."
The name "S.C" stands for "Sensitive Creature," reflecting a commitment to the connections between people, nature, and the senses of taste and smell that are cultivated in the tea fields.
In Taiwan, S.C Lab's products are served at a Michelin one-star restaurant and leading high-end bars in Taipei. In Japan, the brand has been expanding its presence at bars in Tokyo since sales began in June 2026.
Its sparkling tea is also drawing attention as a new option for non-alcoholic gifts.
A Two-Night-Only "Tea Spirits Collaboration Event" in Ebisu and Kagurazaka
The collaboration takes place at two Tokyo bars: 九角 (Ebisu) and BAR 茶印 (Kagurazaka)
S.C Lab co-founders Mikey Chen (a tea farmer) and Pouria (a brewer) are traveling from Taiwan to Tokyo for a two-day collaboration with two Tokyo bars. Each bar's bartender has created a limited-edition original cocktail using S.C Lab's tea spirits.
September 21, 2026 (Monday, a public holiday) | 九角 (Ebisu)
九角 is a hidden, fragrance-focused bar tucked away on a quiet side street, three minutes on foot from Ebisu Station.
Described as a "laboratory of scent and blending," it offers cocktails and mocktails made with seasonal ingredients and carefully selected spirits.
For this collaboration, 九角 has created an original cocktail that draws out the delicate aromas and flavors of S.C Lab's tea spirits through its own signature style of blending.

BAR 茶印 is a Japanese tea cocktail bar in Kagurazaka built around Japanese tea. Bartender and tea mixologist 赤坂孝太 carefully crafts each original cocktail using tea leaves sourced from across Japan, drawing out the character of each region and varietal — a bar where guests can discover a new side of Japanese tea.
Bringing together BAR 茶印's focus on Japanese tea and S.C Lab's Taiwanese tea, the two sides have created a one-night-only original cocktail.

At "TENOHA Tateshina Marche," held at Tokyu Resort Town Tateshina in Nagano Prefecture, tastings and original drinks made with tea spirits, tea liqueur, and non-alcoholic sparkling tea will be available. Products can also be purchased at the "EMMA's FOOD&GROCERY" stall within the event venue.

Now in its third year, "TENOHA Tateshina Marche" is an event centered on food and play amid the colorful forests of Tateshina. At the first venue, the lawn area in front of TENOHA, "TENOHA FOREST TABLE" serves one-plate dishes made with seasonal ingredients by guest chefs, alongside food, retail, and workshop stalls. The second venue, Glamorous Dining Tateshina, also offers plenty of content to enjoy with pets.
