Screen @ Shinjuku Central Park — Outdoor Movie Nights Amid the Nishi-Shinjuku Skyline

An outdoor movie screening event, "Screen @ Shinjuku Central Park," is set to take place at the Fun More Time Hiroba (formerly the Water Plaza) in Shinjuku Central Park, adjacent to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building, from Wednesday, June 3 to Saturday, June 6, 2026. Visitors can enjoy classic films on a giant screen against a backdrop of the city's high-rise night skyline, with the soothing presence of waterfalls and greenery all around.

Key Visual

Four beloved films appealing to a wide range of generations have been selected, with a different title showing each day. Admission to the screenings is free, and attendees can unwind on benches or sheet seating in the venue while enjoying food and drinks. On the final day, Saturday, June 6, the venue opens at 3:00 PM, and in addition to a Japanese-dubbed screening of SING suitable for families with children, visitors can participate in workshops and explore the park at their own pace—including "Hana no Mori," which opened in March of this year.

Screening Schedule

A giant screen measuring 4.5 meters high by 10.5 meters wide will be used for the nightly screenings, which begin at 7:00 PM each day:

  • June 3 (Wed): BACK TO THE FUTURE (subtitled)
  • June 4 (Thu): Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro
  • June 5 (Fri): The Intern (subtitled)
  • June 6 (Sat): SING (Japanese-dubbed)
