On Thursday, December 31, 2026, the Peak Lounge & Bar on the 41st floor of Park Hyatt Tokyo (3-7-1-2 Nishi-Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo) hosts "Countdown Lounge 2027 Midnight in Motion," a New Year's Eve party to see out the year.
The countdown event, popular every year, has been upgraded following the hotel's renovation. Surrounded by a sweeping night view, guests listen to live music from seven musicians assembled specially for the night, enjoy free-flowing champagne and cocktails, and sample a range of chef-prepared dishes at the live kitchen counters. For the first time, an aerial performance also takes place in the open atrium, adding even more excitement to the last party of the year.
It is a New Year's Eve celebration filled with anticipation for 2027.
Aerial Performance
Two performers take to the air. Hitomi Nishikii (錦井瞳) has appeared in more than 1,000 shows across 32 countries in "Corteo," one of Cirque du Soleil's flagship productions. Jean-Yves Willems is an internationally acclaimed performer who has appeared on stages including Disneyland Paris, Las Vegas and Macau. Gliding gracefully through the air, they present an act that combines rich expressiveness with powerful acrobatics.
Live Music
The lineup centers on Andrea Hopkins, whose powerful voice gives her a distinctive presence, and Josiah Hawley, known for his singing and captivating guitar playing, with Elliot Cormack joining them in a collaboration for an energetic sound. These three on vocals and guitar are joined by drums, bass, trumpet and keyboard, forming a seven-piece band that delivers a powerful live performance.
Buffet Menu and Drinks
Depending on the plan, guests receive free-flowing champagne (R de Ruinart, Dom Pérignon 2018 or Krug Grande Cuvée), along with wine, whisky and cocktails. At the counters where the chefs stand and serve, the lineup includes snow crab tacos, tuna tataki, porcini and mascarpone risotto, roast pork ribs and Japanese beef fillet baked in pastry. Desserts such as a salted caramel gâteau chocolat and lemon sorbet topped with caviar round out a varied menu, and everything can be enjoyed as much as guests like during the party.
