In coordination with the "2025 SENDAI Pageant of Starlight," a beloved winter tradition in Sendai, the Sendai Christmas Market 2025 will take place from December 5 (Friday) to December 25 (Thursday) for 21 days.
The venue will feature a Christmas tree standing approximately 5 meters tall, the largest of its kind in the Tohoku region, creating a magical Christmas atmosphere. When night falls, the illuminated tree celebrating Christmas will bring warmth to the entire city.
The market will expand the number of wooden huts called "Hütte," which offer an authentic German atmosphere, with approximately 40 shops lined up selling Christmas food and festive goods. Exclusive Sendai Christmas Market merchandise, including original mugs available only here, will also be available. This year, the market will extend beyond Nishikicho Park to include shops at Kotodai Park's "Ikoi no Hiroba," creating a connected Christmas experience.
The event is art-directed by Chiho Sato, a decoration artist who has built her career from television art production to advertising and marketing, bringing her unique sensibility to create a festive atmosphere.
