From December 15 (Tuesday) to December 25 (Friday), 2026, Westin Hotel Sendai (Ichibancho, Aoba-ku, Sendai) is offering "Christmas High Tea 2026" at Lounge & Bar Horizon on the 26th floor, a modern and open space.
Christmas is the season when Sendai's city center is wrapped in bright lights. This plan brings together hors d'oeuvres, a main dish and sweets that incorporate Christmas colors throughout, served with alcohol including sparkling wine.
Tea Stand Hors d'Oeuvres
Six hors d'oeuvres with a variety of flavors are lined up on the tea stand. Seafood dishes include lobster wrapped in kataifi and a flan of Miyagi-grown yukina (snow greens) and snow crab. They are joined by pan-seared foie gras and a jambon ham made with Miyagi-grown "Date no Junsui Akabuta" pork.

- Pan-seared foie gras and brioche pain perdu, with Miyagi blueberry sauce
- Fukushima-grown Abukuma River Maple Salmon (阿武隈川メイプルサーモン) and beet tartare, scented with herbs
- Jambon ham of Miyagi-grown "Date no Junsui Akabuta" (伊達の純粋赤豚) pork, with caramelized almonds
- Flan of Miyagi-grown yukina (雪菜) and snow crab, with dried tomato sauce
- Kochi-grown Shimanto eel (四万十鰻) stewed in red wine, with ancient rice risotto
Main Dish
The main dish is roast beef made with A5-grade Sendai beef from Kurihara, Miyagi Prefecture, cooked until tender. Smooth truffle-scented mashed potatoes made with yukina bring out the flavor of the meat, and it is accompanied by a spice-scented paprika tuile.
Dessert
For dessert, a cream cheese and strawberry mousse is styled as a Christmas ornament and served with a raspberry sorbet and a pistachio sauce scented with Kochi-grown bergamot, so the lingering feel of Christmas Eve lasts to the final bite.
