From September 2026, Sendai PARCO (Aoba-ku, Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture) is turning PARCO FACTORY SENDAI, its event space newly opened in spring 2026, into a rotating lineup of character pop-up shops. Four limited-time stores follow one after another this fall, each with its own goods, purchase gifts, and photo-friendly décor.
First up, from September 4 (Friday), is Let's! go Monchhichi TOWN. Monchhichi, the beloved character born in Japan in 1974, marked its 50th anniversary in 2024 and is once again in the spotlight, with a cute space that blends nostalgia and novelty.
Next, from September 17 (Thursday), comes Moomin Market 2026, a Moomin merchandise event featuring 2026-only limited items built around original art themed on the Moomins' full range of expressions, plus the familiar Moominhouse standing over two meters tall and dedicated photo spots.
Then, from October 2 (Friday), Momoko Sakura's Dream-Colored Shop opens, a limited-time pop-up centered on Momoko Sakura's signature works Chibi Maruko-chan and Kojikoji, with decor and goods for subculture and art fans alongside event-exclusive items.
Finally, from October 14 (Wednesday), the OSAMU GOODS STORE arrives, spotlighting the retro, lovable characters that drove a major boom from the late 1970s through the 1990s, across bags, kitchen items, stationery, and more.
Character greeting events are also planned to coincide with the pop-up shops, and each store offers a purchase gift while supplies last, making the series a fall lineup meant to appeal to a wide range of age groups. PARCO FACTORY SENDAI plans to keep hosting buzzworthy exhibitions and pop-up shops in the space going forward.
