Two new seasonal sweets featuring Setouchi-grown lemons are arriving at supermarkets around Japan starting May 2026. Okayama-based confectionery maker Sun Lavieen is releasing the "Setouchi Lemon Waffle" and the "Setouchi Lemon Cake" as a limited early-summer lineup, available from May 1 through July 31.
Both products use lemon ingredients sourced 100% from the Setouchi region, whose mild climate produces lemons with a mellow acidity and fragrant, fresh flavor. The two items offer different textures — a chewy, satisfying waffle and a soft, fluffy cake — keeping the lineup varied while maintaining a consistent citrusy theme.
Each item is individually wrapped, making them easy to share as a family snack, a casual treat at the office, or a light gift for guests. The packaging features a shared lemon motif across both products, bringing a gentle seasonal feel to store shelves.
