Shinagawa InterCity will complete its commercial area renewal on March 30, 2026 (Monday), bringing a new urban hub where work, gathering, and relaxation converge. The renewal introduces a new dining and experience destination to Shinagawa.
Evolution Under the "Shinagaru" Concept
Shinagawa InterCity, a large-scale high-rise complex comprising three office towers, a commercial building, and a hall building, opened in December 1998 as the pioneering project of Shinagawa Station East Exit (Konan Exit) development.
This renewal centers on the concept of "Shinagaru" (connecting), positioning Shinagawa InterCity as a place that connects people with people and the city with the future. Based on the warmth embodied in the word "connecting," the renewal aims to create a space where diverse values and cultures intersect, and where office workers, local residents, and visitors naturally gather, interact, and converse. The project promotes community building that fosters connections from past to present to future, creating pleasant vibrancy and new encounters throughout the area.
New Food Hall SHINATERRACE KITCHEN Opens
As the highlight of the renewal, a new food hall "SHINATERRACE KITCHEN" opens on the B1 floor of the Shop & Restaurant building. The warm space features wooden floors, walls, and ceilings with natural light streaming through glass facades. During the day, it offers an open atmosphere, while at night, indirect lighting creates a relaxing ambiance. With diverse seating including sofas, benches, and power-equipped counter seats, the space accommodates various occasions from lunch and business dinners to after-work drinks and weekend family visits.
SHINATERRACE KITCHEN also supports mobile ordering, allowing guests to avoid crowds while freely combining dishes from a wide range of cuisines. Visitors can even bring in craft beer purchased from the brewery restaurant "YONA YONA TOKYO BREWERY" on the same floor, enabling a personalized dining experience where beer and food can be freely mixed and matched.
From Beer to Dance: New Spots for Experiential Enjoyment
Opening on the same day, "YONA YONA TOKYO BREWERY" will be Japan's largest station-connected brewery restaurant with approximately 200 seats. This flagship store, themed "Brewing the Future Now," transforms beer from something to "drink" into something to "experience" as an experiential brewery restaurant and a hub for new craft beer culture. The venue features an on-site brewery with Yaho Brewing's experienced brewers constantly present, along with a DJ booth and an island bar with over 30 taps, offering unique spatial experiences available only here.
Additionally, the dance studio "STUDIO LUX," operated by SEGA SAMMY Group, is scheduled to open in April. The studio's dance school will offer special lessons by members of "SEGA SAMMY LUX" (operated by SEGA SAMMY Group), a team in D.LEAGUE, creating exclusive experiences available nowhere else.
Evolving into a new stage 25 years after its opening, Shinagawa InterCity will continue to create enriching lifestyles as a next-generation urban hub where work, gathering, and relaxation converge.
