Six Senses Kyoto (General Manager: Nicolas Black), a nature-inspired luxury resort located in the heart of Kyoto, is partnering with femcare brand YOJOY, developed by Wacoal Corporation (Headquarters: Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture; President & CEO: Keisuke Kawanishi), to host a Femmunication event on March 7, 2026, one day before International Women's Day. The event, titled "In Celebration of International Women's Day: Reflecting on Mind and Body Through the 24 Solar Terms," will take place at the resort.
The event invites participants to connect with their bodies and minds through YojoCheck, a self-assessment tool that helps individuals understand their type and physical/mental state while offering seasonal care aligned with nature's rhythms. Additionally, as a pioneer of holistic wellness in the hospitality industry, Six Senses will lead a yoga session specifically designed for women. The experience will also include a teatime following the "Eat With Six Senses" philosophy, synchronized with the 24 solar terms, and an opportunity to try YOJOY femcare products.
The theme of International Women's Day 2026 is "Give to Gain." Since its founding in 1995, Six Senses has been guided by the mission of "helping people reconnect with themselves, others, and the world around them." This theme of cyclical connection through giving and receiving aligns perfectly with the values Six Senses has long cherished. This philosophy resonates deeply with the three pillars that define Six Senses: wellness, sustainability, and extraordinary experiences. YOJOY, developed by Wacoal Corporation—also headquartered in Kyoto like Six Senses Kyoto—supports women's physical and mental self-care under the concept "I am balanced. I am joyful." This collaboration, born from the shared values of both brands, offers a special wellness experience that honors women's health and natural rhythms.
*Femmunication: Femininity + Communication = Femmunication, representing self-dialogue and self-care to balance body and mind.
International Women's Day has gained increasing momentum in recent years as a day to celebrate the roles and potential women have fulfilled in society, while also encouraging reflection on one's own body and mind to envision a healthier future. The 2026 theme, "Give to Gain," signifies the cycle and connection born from relationships with others and society. At the heart of this lies the importance of knowing and caring for oneself.
This event is designed to embody the spirit of International Women's Day, offering participants a day to experience the holistic wellness philosophy that Six Senses holds dear. By surrendering to the natural rhythms of the 24 solar terms and turning awareness inward, participants can find balance. This process itself aims to be the beginning of the cycle of "giving and receiving."

Six Senses Spa Kyoto's Diverse Wellness Programs for Women's Inner Rhythms
At Six Senses Kyoto, supporting each woman's life stage and physical/mental changes is a key pillar of wellness. WATSU (water bodywork), conducted in Kyoto's only hotel-exclusive pool, is a session that releases the body and mind into deep relaxation. Performed while floating in water, this gravity-free experience is particularly gentle for pregnant women.

In addition, the resort offers personalized programs that consider the unique characteristics of women's bodies, including yoga and fitness sessions, as well as wellness screenings to assess current health states, rather than one-size-fits-all approaches.
The sleep program addresses common concerns among executive women working in society, such as insomnia and sleep quality. It employs a multi-faceted approach combining traditional methods like Yoga Nidra, breathing techniques, and relaxation treatments with cutting-edge technology such as sleep tracking and wellness screening.

The Wellness Pass is a ticket-based program designed to holistically balance mind, body, and consciousness through private sessions combining fitness and personal training with yoga, breathwork, and meditation. Participants also enjoy access to luxury hotel facilities including thermal baths (hot bath, dry sauna, steam sauna, cold plunge), swimming pool, and fitness center.

Open Wellness Events for Women
In addition to International Women's Day, Six Senses Kyoto regularly hosts wellness events designed to help women reassess their mind-body balance. In March, the resort offers sound healing, yoga, workshops, and running sessions aligned with the seasonal transition, providing women with time to reconnect with themselves and deepen connections with others.
