SKY-HILL HOTEL Izu Kogen — The Ultimate Views and Relaxation, the official hotel of the Izu Cactus Animal Park Group in Ito City, Shizuoka Prefecture — is undergoing a guest room renovation and will open two new suite rooms featuring outdoor baths and saunas on July 18, 2026 (Saturday). Reservations opened on June 11, 2026 (Thursday).
Following the well-received addition of semi-outdoor bath rooms and Mt. Omuro-view semi-outdoor bath rooms last year, the hotel has expanded its offerings once again. With these additions, the property will operate a total of 25 guest rooms, delivering a broader range of high-quality accommodation options to visitors.
The two new rooms are the hotel's top-tier suites, situated close to Mt. Omuro — a nationally designated natural monument. Designed around a concept of "Refinement and Relaxation," the sophisticated interiors include both an in-room sauna and a semi-outdoor bath. Guests can enjoy outdoor air while taking in the sweeping profile of Mt. Omuro — a setting found nowhere else. The rooms are especially well-placed during early spring's Mt. Omuro Mountain Burning ceremony, when visitors can watch the striking spectacle right from their suite.
The hotel sits directly adjacent to Izu Cactus Animal Park, and a dedicated private gate allows hotel guests to enter the park without extra hassle, making it a convenient choice for families too.

A Private Wellness Retreat
After relaxing in the room's private sauna, guests can move directly to the open-air semi-outdoor bath and unwind surrounded by the nature of Izu Kogen — entirely undisturbed. Both rooms are also equipped with a ReFa shower head and hair dryer.
