Smith Teamaker Launches "Darjeeling & Muscat Yogurt Sundae" in Shibuya and Yokohama

Smith Teamaker Tasting Room (Shibuya and Yokohama) is offering a "Darjeeling & Muscat Yogurt Sundae" for a limited time starting August 18 (Tuesday), 2026, as the second installment in its seasonal sundae series.

One of the stars of this sundae is "No.47 Bungalow," the Darjeeling blend long loved at Smith Teamaker. This popular blend, returning once again as a much-anticipated seasonal tea, has been turned into a tea jelly and tucked into the sundae. The juicy fruit and fragrant tea gently ease away the tiredness of summer heat, offering a pleasant way to enjoy the turn of the season. The sundae is planned to be available from August 18 (Tuesday) through November 23 (Monday), 2026.

Darjeeling & Muscat Yogurt Sundae

On sale from August 18 (Tuesday), for a limited time.

A seasonal sundae that offers a moment of respite through juicy fruit and the cool aroma of Darjeeling. The gentle sweetness of Shine Muscat grapes and pear layers with the delicate, rich fragrance of "No.47 Bungalow" and the refreshing tartness of yogurt, creating a comforting flavor that gently eases away the tiredness of summer heat.

Recommended tea pairing

"No.47 Bungalow" is the recommended pairing for this sundae. The deep Darjeeling hidden within the jelly and the rich Darjeeling aroma rising from the cup let guests enjoy a single tea in two different forms — a pairing that is uniquely Smith Teamaker.

Product appeal

In place of ice cream, this sundae uses a lemon-scented frozen yogurt.

Layered on top are Shine Muscat grapes with their gentle burst of sweetness, a soft pear compote, a tea jelly made with "No.47 Bungalow," a refreshing muscat granita, and fragrant granola, each bite revealing a different expression. The cool, smooth texture and pleasant tartness bring out the juicy sweetness of the Shine Muscat and pear, finishing in a light, easy-to-enjoy flavor.

In the height of summer, as the days gradually turn toward autumn, this dessert was created to gently accompany that shift in season.

No.47 Bungalow

On sale from August 18 (Tuesday), for a limited time.

A rich, toasty flavor born from spring- and summer-picked Darjeeling.

This blend skillfully combines the Darjeeling first flush (spring pick) and second flush (summer pick), grown in the foothills of the Himalayas. The bright, light character of the spring pick meets the muscat-like fragrance and rich body of the summer pick. Complex aromas reminiscent of nuts, flowers, and ripe fruit come together with a pleasantly toasty finish that lingers.

The blend also carries a romantic backstory: its founder, Steven Smith, held his own wedding at the Darjeeling tea garden he loved.

With its light mouthfeel and rich aroma, it's a tea recommended for stepping away from a busy day to enjoy a moment for oneself. As the season slowly turns, it brings a calm, unhurried richness to the cup.

It's available as a carton of 15 sachets, and can also be enjoyed in-store as a straight tea, hot or iced.

Product: No.47 Bungalow
Price: Carton [15 sachets] ¥3,780 (tax included), also available through the online store. In-store straight tea (hot or iced): ¥890 (tax included)

Menu Developer's Comment

"For this sundae, I built each element around 'No.47 Bungalow,' which returns for a limited season. To make the most of Bungalow's floral aroma reminiscent of ripe fruit and its refined sweetness, I shaped it into a jelly. I wanted guests to feel Darjeeling's pleasant lingering finish not just the moment they take a bite, but after they've finished the dish as well.

In-season Shine Muscat appears in two forms: fresh fruit and a cool granita. Adding the gentle sweetness of pear naturally connects Darjeeling's floral aroma with the juiciness of the muscat. I also varied the textures further with smooth Greek yogurt, a soft jelly, a crisp, crumbly granita, and fragrant granola. I hope guests enjoy the changing expression of each bite, with the aroma of fruit and tea lingering as one impression at the end — a dessert to savor slowly even on the hottest days."
