The French restaurant La Belle Assiette, located at The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Osaka Midosuji, will be offering a spring prix fixe dinner from March 16, 2026. The seasonal menu, titled "Le goût de printemps" (The Taste of Spring), expresses the aromas and changing textures of the budding season through each carefully crafted course.

Each dish is designed to layer complementary flavors and textures. The signature appetizer is a terrine of octopus slowly cooked at low temperature, paired with gazpacho. Tuile — a crispy thin wafer whose name means "tile" in French — is infused with aonori (green seaweed), adding a delicate crunch and a hint of saltiness as an accent.

Six main course options are available. The Sawara Confit and Mussel Fondant is one standout choice: miso-marinated sawara (Spanish mackerel) is combined with mussels, carefully layering the umami of both seafood. The gently cooked fish is finished with a light breadcrumb coating that adds a pleasant texture and aroma.

Other main course options include lamb spare ribs with spring chrysanthemum salad and spices, abalone poêlé with garlic butter sauce, a Kyotamba chicken, foie gras, and bamboo shoot dish baked in pastry with kinome and sansho pepper sauce, and a Banshu beef sirloin poêlé.

For dessert, three options are available: a recommended fruit parfait, a cheese platter, and a selection of ice cream and sorbet.
